Why is the government unable to tell us how much real profit we make from our petrol exports? My guess is that they may have 'forward sold' Petronas oil at say $50-80 a barrel during Tun Mathathir's time to Japan, Russia and maybe USA.
They could have sign up with this deal about 10 years ago to last maybe for another 20 years. At least 70% of our oil could have been sold. So how can we enjoy the $138 or come August maybe $150 a barrel. This is how our 'Pacik' in the kampong 'pajak' his durian trees for a mere sum maybe for the nexy 5 years only to see the price of durian rising a hundred fold.
